Thomas Kinkade has always been known for how he can take a simple piece of scenery and transform it into something you would think to see in a movie or a dream. He was called the Painter of light by most.
According to thomaskinkade.com, The Cross was put into play when Thomas was asked to paint something for a wall in the Billy Graham Library. This work connects to my theme of Christianity and its basis of believing and hope just by having the cross on top of a hill with the sun rays gleaming all around it.
