Caravaggio is a well renowned artist that was apprenticed into art as a young man. But had a rough and difficult path in front of his way to fame. He finally was noticed after painting Christian based works. This work was to show a visual image of the moment in time when Thomas claimed he would not believe Jesus was alive until he could see and feel the wound in his hands and side.
This work connects to my theme of hope because its a point in time where we can all relate with. We all can be doubters.
